Elden Ring: Important details about Malenia's backstory appear

Not only possessing excellent gameplay and graphics, the latest product from FromSoftware-Elden Ring, also has an extremely rich story and lore. With the ingenious combination of FromSoftware and George RR Martin, inside everything from items used to absorb to equipment and spells, there are many secret details about what happened in the land. Lands Between This. One example that has become popular recently is the secret details surrounding the story of Malenia and Radahn. 

As appeared in the early Elden Ring trailers, these two characters fought each other in a war known as The Shattering, or Aeonian War. Although there were no winners or losers, the result of this war was the outbreak of Scarlet Rot, which caused the land of Caelid to be engulfed in toxins. Surprisingly, both Malenia and Radahn survived the Scarlet Rot infection. And this has made the gaming community wonder.

After many theories from the player community, a gamer finally discovered the truth that FromSoftware itself installed in the Elden Ring. That's when this gamer found a Spirit Ashes item called Cleanrot Knight Finlay. It is revealed in the item's description that a knight named Finlay - "one of the few who survived the battle of Aeonia" - brought Malenia back to Halitree. It also states that Finlay "fought off countless enemies while on the retreat with Malenia". The two retreat to Halitree, a location deeply connected to Miquella, Malenia's younger brother.

As all players know Malenia is said to have stayed at Halitree, and slept until the player discovered her. As for Finlay, she has become Spirit Ashes, and can be found in Halitree.

Cleanrot Knight Finlay's Spirit Ashes has provided us with a small but extremely important detail, helping players understand what happened to Malenia after the battle with Radahn. From there, it helps players understand more about one of the key characters directly related to the plot of the game Elden Ring.
