What's so special about Demon Slayer: Infinity City?

The first movie of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—Infinity Castle Arc has finally premiered in Japan. Based on the initial reviews, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba—Infinity Castle Arc Part 1: Akaza's Return is a must-see, a masterpiece that promises to set the standard for future anime. It's no surprise that the movie is expected to be a hit not only in Japan but also around the world.

 

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is currently creating a "fever" at the box office in Japan. Many fans are lining up at the cinemas to watch their favorite Demon Slayer characters fight in Infinity Castle. While Tanjiro and his teammates will be fighting for their lives, as well as Muzan and his remaining upper moon demons, the first Infinity Castle movie will also bring back a long-fallen Hashira. Many have sacrificed themselves in the war, but death will not stop this Hashira from returning in Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle .

 

The late pillar, Kanae Kocho, will appear in the movie Demon Slayer: Infinite Stratos

For many anime fans, Demon Slayer fans or not, seeing a familiar face on screen is always exciting, especially when it comes to characters who have been gone for a long time after their deaths. It's part of the thrill and entertainment, as seeing your favorite characters come back to life through flashbacks makes for a more complete viewing experience.

However, Demon Slayer is no stranger to bringing back some deceased characters through flashbacks or illusions. Fans have seen Tanjiro's ancestors come and go in his dreams, including a vision of Yoriichi Tsugikuni. However, in the first Demon Slayer: Infinite Castle movie, the fallen Hashira who will definitely return is none other than the late Flower Hashira Kanae Kocho.

Kanae Kocho was the older sister of Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho. She had been dead for a long time, even before Muzan attacked Tanjiro's family in the mountains. Despite being one of the best Hashira at the time, she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries and died after confronting a brutal Upper Moon demon. Her death left a deep impression on Shinobu as well as Kanao, igniting their hatred & fighting spirit to defeat her killer.

 

Kanae Kocho's role in Demon Slayer: Infinite Stratos

1. Kanae Kocho may appear in Shinobu's illusion or a flashback when Shinobu is in the middle of the most important battle of her career.

While death won't prevent Kanae Kocho from appearing in the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie, she won't actually be coming back from the dead. In other words, anime fans shouldn't expect some villain to use Edo-Tensei on Kanae to revive her in the series. Even Yushiro or Tamayo can't resurrect the dead, so that's out of the question here.

However, given Shinobu Kocho's major role in the Infinity Castle storyline, Kanae Kocho will definitely return for a cameo due to her close relationship with her sister and shared connection with Upper Moon Second, Doma. Fans know that flashbacks and character illusions are important to Demon Slayer's storyline, so Kanae Kocho's return may not be a surprise anymore.

Kanae Kocho's role in the decisive battle between Shinobu and Douma at Infinity Castle will be brief but meaningful. Fans of the late Haku should have tissues ready to wipe away their tears, as appearances by dead characters often lead to heartbreaking and emotional scenes.

Another lost Hashira may appear in Demon Slayer: Infinite Stratos

In addition to the late Flower Hashira, one or two other deceased characters may appear in the first Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie. This part is expected to include three important battles, from the fight between Shinobu and Doma, the fight between Zenitsu and Kaigaku to the confrontation between Akaza, Tanjiro and Giyuu, so the deceased Hashira like Jigoro Kuwajima, Rengoku Kyojuro may make brief but meaningful appearances.

Both Jigoro and Rengoku play important roles, not only in Zenitsu and Tanjiro's demon-slaying careers, but also in their lives, so it wouldn't be surprising if fans saw them return to the first Infinity Castle movie, perhaps in a flashback or a vision.
