China's maglev train sets a new speed record of up to 1,000 km/h

China's new ultra-high-speed (UHS) maglev train has just completed testing traveling at speeds of up to 1,000 km/h.

The test marks a major milestone and proves that the ultra-high-speed maglev train can control navigation, hover stably and stop safely.

This transportation system was jointly developed by China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation and Shanxi province. This is the first time the UHS low-vacuum pipe maglev transport system has been put to full-scale testing. The test was successful and reached the desired speed.

The superconducting maglev vehicle travels in a 2 km long pipeline in a low vacuum environment in the test. The results show that all systems work as expected, and the actual motion of the ship is in harmony with the route, it can still control navigation, hover stably, stop safely and self-adjust at bends.

The test also demonstrated that vacuum can be established and maintained over long distances, and demonstrated the effectiveness of superconducting navigation control and coordination between different systems in vacuum. not low.

The high-temperature superconducting maglev technology (HTS) train prototype was introduced in 2021. In 2022, China began building a UHS maglev transportation system in Yanggao district to achieve the goal of running trains in speed 1,000 km/h.
