Apple once again considered considering the possibility of integrating wireless charging for the iWatch, according to a different report from Chinese supplier Luxshare.
Shenzen is based on Apple's report of wireless coil charging for certification and is awaiting approval. The report also noted that the iWatch will debut in the second half of this year and is in production.
A report last December also said that Apple will integrate wireless charging capabilities in the iWatch, allowing devices to charge up to a meter distance. The iWatch battery life was previously reported to be a problem for Apple because the iWatch prototype only lasted 1-2 days on a single charge and the company hopes to find a way to pull it up 4-5 days. Although wireless charging will be a way to reduce the burden of removing the device for charging, it is unclear exactly how it will be done.
