The remains of the bird still have organs left after more than 4,000 years buried under the ice

Scientists have discovered the body of an intact red-winged thrush after 4,200 years under the ice in Norway, even its heart and liver are still intact.

According to Jorgen Rosvold, a researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the bird's body was discovered by a guard at the frozen edge of the Oppdal Mountains.

Researchers decided to cut the dead bird's body to see it after such a long time, whether or not internal organs existed.

Rosvold said, " It is amazing that the body of the bird can survive after more than 4,000 years. This is the first time we have carcassed and observed the body of such thousands of years old ."
