In February, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that high-speed Internet provided by Starlink makes medical exchanges easier and more convenient, thereby increasing the likelihood of successful treatment for many patients.

The location of Starlink service installation is a new field medical facility established by the UAE in Rafah city. Previously, due to the armed conflict between Israel and the Islamic Movement Hamas, many other facilities fell into a state of inoperability.

Five months earlier, the Israeli government approved Starlink to operate at the above medical facility.

The main reason why Internet connectivity in the Gaza Strip is not guaranteed is the lack of fuel and electricity to operate service delivery centers. This limits the ability of Gaza's highly centralized hospitals and health systems to operate, and makes it difficult for medical staff and rescuers to work.
