If residents live in Xiamen city, China wants to avoid traffic jams, daily traffic jams, they can now travel by bike on the bike-elevated route.
Completed in February 2017, Xiamen Bicycle Skyway - Xiamen bicycle highway has 5 main lanes for residents and 3 commercial centers in the city.

Located in Fujian Province, China, this elevated bicycle route named Xiamen stretches nearly 8km and can handle up to 2,023 bicycles operating at the same time.

This elevated road is located at a height of 5m above the ground .

. and located just under the newly upgraded bus line, also known as BRT road, in the central area of Xiamen. Xiamen Road has transit points so cyclists can use public transport to certain locations.

These unique lanes appear throughout the city, designed in large spiral form to gradually increase the slope.

Most of the infrastructure of many big cities still prioritizes the use of cars. However, there are many cities currently building dedicated bicycle routes and improving public transport.

For example, the city of Copenhagen ( Denmark ) is constructing 26 highways for 186-mile bicycles ( about 300km ).
