Nothing shows the power of the earth more than an erupting volcano, it's like rivers of volcano swept with molten rock and billowing ash columns.

These erupting peaks can be found all over the world. The eruption of volcanoes helped create the surface of the earth, carved craters, piled up on the peaks of cold lava flows with desolate landscapes. As we all know, volcanoes helped shape life. Each eruption dredged nutrients from deep underground, covered the rocks with fertile soil and promoted life around the globe. However, their explosions are also a serious reminder of the fragility of life, with the power to destroy landscapes in a blink of an eye.

Each mountain erupts in a different way, and these images record their range of activity. By studying volcanic explosions, researchers hope to decipher the past and look into the planet's potential future.

Anak Krakatau volcano in Indonesia.

Indonesia's Anak Krakatau volcano is a special volcano, which is re-activated every few years. This volcano is the `` son '' of Krakatoa volcano that caused a series of horrific explosions with the power of 10,000 times the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, each explosion caused a tsunami devastating coastal villages that killed more than 37,000 people in 1883. Mount Etna in Italy is the largest active volcano in Europe and often causes dramatic explosions with molten rocks to circular ashes. Etna volcano, which has just woken up in December 2018, is recognized as the longest volcano on earth, with records of its frequent explosions from 1,500 BC.
