Pi virtual currency players call for app deletion
Many people participating in Pi mining have called for the app to be deleted on social networks because they have lost faith in this virtual currency, while the Pi Network team continues to only make promises.
One account wrote in a Facebook group with more than 200,000 members, "I have lost faith in Pi Core Team. Those who are still playing, good luck, I will delete the app." The post received many approvals in the comments section.
On June 28, the Pi Network team, also known as Pi Core Team, issued a report on the number of users, there were 60 million users, 12 million people successfully performed identity verification (KYC), an increase from 9.45 million compared to Pi Day (March 14).
The group also reiterated the requirements for an "open mainnet" - users to be able to trade Pi with other cryptocurrencies including completing a technological, product, business and legal open network for Pi; achieve KYC goals; needs "a favorable environment that does not hinder the success of the open mainnet".
However, according to assessments, it will take a long time for the above conditions to be fulfilled.
Instead of just locking during the "roll-call" process as before, the platform also includes the feature of locking Pi on mainnet wallets from several months to several years so that users can "increase mining speed" by more than 1,000%. But many people think that this is just a trick to "buy time" for the project. What users are most looking forward to is being able to trade Pi with other digital currencies but cannot yet do so.
In fact, the Pi Core Team team has not made many changes for players over the past year. The team only made minor adjustments to the app. The number of users accessing the Pi Network project also decreased significantly.
Data from SimilarWeb shows that 4.56% of visits to minepi.com, the project's website, come from Vietnamese users, a decrease of nearly 46% in the last three months. While in previous years, Vietnamese users always ranked first or second in terms of traffic to this website.
However, there are still some people who continue to support the project, believing that this year is the last year before the mainnet opens.
