Oracle has announced a world record for TPC-H 3-Terabyte standard test results for Oracle 11g databases based on Oracle's Sun SPARC Enterprise M9000 single server .

This result set a new record, surpassing IBM's best results for TPC-H 3-TB, increasing performance by more than 20% at a better price / performance cost. The Sun SPARC Enterprise M9000 server, a member of the Sun SPARC Enterprise Server family, is Oracle's highest performance and multi-processor enterprise server system. Solaris is Oracle's reliable, secure, and scalable operating system.
Running on the Sun SPARC Enterprise M9000 server with 32 quad-core SPARC64 (TM) VII + 2.8 GHz processors, a total of 128 cores, Oracle 11g database running on Oracle Solaris has reached a world record for TPC-H 3-TB is 188,229.9 QphH3000GB for only $ 20.19 / QphH3000GB.
