Hacker offered to sell the text of 81,000 Facebook accounts on the Internet
According to the BCC report, a group of hackers are selling personal message content of 81,000 Facebook accounts hacked on the Internet for $ 0.1 per Facebook account.
The hacker group advertised that these Facebook accounts belonged to global users and claimed that they had indeed stolen information from more than 120 million Facebook accounts (this number has not been confirmed) but now Just posting messages for 81,000 accounts.
The hacker group has stolen personal message content of 81,000 users through a malicious extension that users have downloaded on the web browser.
After the incident was announced, Guy Rosen, Facebook's vice president of product management, said: The company has contacted developers of web browsers to prevent malicious extensions.
Currently, the sale content of the hacker group has been removed. In recent times, Facebook has encountered many serious incidents. Most recently, in September, more than 30 million users' Facebook accounts were stolen by hackers through a security hole of the 'View As' feature. Currently, the culprit behind this case has not been discovered.
