Comparing prices for ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok…: Which AI package should you choose?

A detailed comparison of the prices and features of ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity, and Grok.

As AI chatbots become increasingly powerful and useful, switching to paid plans is no longer uncommon. Depending on your usage of ChatGPT , Claude , or Gemini , you may not need to pay. But for advanced users who want access to the best models or have higher usage limits, investing in AI is becoming increasingly worthwhile.

If you haven't committed to any chatbot yet, comparing paid plans will help you see exactly what you're getting. It's also worth noting that paying doesn't mean no ads, and many premium plans offer more features beyond just increased usage limits.

The ChatGPT Plus package costs $20/month and expands access to GPT-5 with higher limits on messaging, file uploads, data analysis, and image creation. Users also get enhanced voice mode with video and screen sharing, along with the ChatGPT Agent.

If you need more, you can opt for the Pro plans, priced from $100 to $200 per month. The $100 plan offers five times the usage, while the $200 plan offers twenty times the usage.

The Pro packages also include:

  • Pro reasoning with ChatGPT 5.4 Pro
  • Codex Task Maximization
  • Unlimited file uploads
  • Create unlimited photos
  • Maximum memory
  • Deep research
  • Agent mode

Additionally, Pro users are given priority to test new features of ChatGPT.

Google Gemini: Plus, Pro, and AI Ultra

Gemini has the advantage of deep integration with the Google ecosystem. The AI Pro package offers more features than the free version, including Gemini in Google Workspace, the Flow animation tool, and advanced modeling in Google Search's AI Mode.

Additionally, this plan offers 5TB of storage for Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail. Users also receive a 10% discount on purchases from the Google Store.

Although AI Pro has many features, the free version of Gemini is still sufficient for many people.

Google's top-tier plan is AI Ultra, priced at $250 per month. This plan increases storage capacity from 5TB to 30TB, includes YouTube Premium, and provides early access to Project Mariner—a new prototype agent.

Google also introduced a Plus plan priced at $8 per month, offering 200GB of storage and enhanced access to the Gemini 3 Pro.

Microsoft Copilot

Copilot comes pre-installed on many Windows machines, making it more accessible to users. Despite using the ChatGPT model in conjunction with Microsoft Graph, Copilot still offers a unique user experience.

One notable point is that Copilot produces quite impressive images. In some tests, Copilot produced images that were more distinct than ChatGPT and Gemini.

Copilot also integrates well with Microsoft 365, but some features are only unlocked when using Microsoft 365 for Business, such as Copilot Notebooks.

Copilot's paid plans increase usage limits, unlock Deep Research, and add Actions features—allowing Copilot to fill out forms or assist with shopping.

Perplexity

Perplexity excels in the research field. However, the free version only allows three advanced searches per day.

Perplexity Pro, priced at $20/month, unlocks unlimited search, unlimited file uploads, and access to advanced modeling. Additionally, users can utilize image creation features.

Perplexity also has the Comet browser with integrated AI. Pro and Max users will have access to Comet Plus.

Claude Pro and Max

Claude Pro costs $20 per month and offers higher usage than the free version. For example, with around 200 basic English questions, users can send approximately 45 messages every 5 hours.

Claude Pro also unlocks features including:

  • Claude Code
  • Unlimited Projects
  • Research mode
  • More models

The Claude Max package offers higher usage levels, increased output limits, priority access during system overload, and early access to new features. This package costs approximately $100 per month.

Geck

Grok's premium packages are among the most expensive. The SuperGrok package costs $30/month, provides access to Grok 3 and Grok 4, increases the token supply to 128,000, and offers priority voice support.

This bundle also unlocks the Imagine image creation model and AI companions like Ani and Valentine.

The SuperGrok Heavy package costs $300/month and offers:

  • Grok 4 Heavy Early Access
  • Grok 4 Extended Access
  • Unlimited Grok 3 access
  • Higher signal
  • Early access to new features

Which chatbot should I choose?

Each chatbot has its own strengths. ChatGPT excels in its ecosystem and agents, Gemini is suitable for Google users, Copilot is suitable for Microsoft users, Perplexity is strong in research, Claude is strong in reasoning, and Grok targets advanced users.

The choice depends on your needs, budget, and the ecosystem you're using.
