Best practices before using the result
- Run powercfg /batteryreport from an elevated or normal Windows terminal and open the newest report.
- Close private tabs or apps before sharing screenshots; battery reports can contain device and usage details.
- Compare reports over time and confirm unusual results with the laptop manufacturer diagnostic.

What battery health percentage is good?
A higher full-charge-to-design ratio generally indicates less capacity loss, but battery age, calibration, temperature, workload, and firmware reporting also matter.
Can this tool tell whether a battery is swollen or unsafe?
No. Stop using and physically inspect a device if the battery is swollen, unusually hot, damaged, or producing odor.
Why is cycle count missing?
Some batteries or firmware do not expose cycle count in the Windows report, so a missing value does not mean zero cycles.
