Team Kali Linux teaches free online pentest on Twitch

Offensive Security, the creators of Kali Linux, has just announced that they will host a free Penetration Testing (pentest) course with Kali Linux.

The class was held in the form of a livestream on the Twitch platform called Penetration Testing with Kali Linux (PEN-200/PWK).

The course will prepare students to take the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification exam, which was taught live before the pandemic hit.

Due to the impact of the pandemic, many activities have had to move online, including the education sector. Offensive Security is no exception to this transition. They have launched a 13-week online course "OffSec Academy" to prepare students for the OSCP certification exam.

Now, OffSec says its online teaching will evolve into a new platform called "OffSec Live" and the courses will be streamed on Twitch.

"OffSec Live is our attempt to combine the great things of OffSec Academy and our knowledge of student success learning journeys and make it available to all other students," Offensive Security notification.

The PEN-200 course will be held twice a week (60 minutes each) on Twitch and anyone can join for free. Attendees can also interact with instructors and classmates through Offensive Security's Discord server.

While anyone can join the PEN-200 livestream and watch independently, only registered students have access to Offensive Security's testing tools and training materials.

OffSec Live: PEN-200 course will start on June 22, 2022 and stream every Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 to 13:00 (Eastern Time) until November 30, 2022 .

If you are interested in this course, you can visit Offensive Security's Official Twitch Channel.
