Nothing OS 3.0 will have new lock screen customizations
One of the user interfaces to look out for is Nothing OS 3.0 and we finally have our first look at one of the biggest features of the upcoming update.
With the release of stable Android 15 on the horizon and manufacturers hard at work developing the next iterations of their UI, there's a lot to be excited about in Q4 2024. One of the interfaces Users to look out for is Nothing OS 3.0 and we finally have our first look at one of the biggest features of the upcoming update. Nothing OS 3.0 will have a new lock screen customization feature and here's everything you need to know.
Nothing's founder Carl Pei on X has revealed one of the upcoming features in Nothing OS 3.0. It looks like the update will bring more clear, in-depth, and diverse lock screen customizations and styles.
From what we can do from the slide, the first page introduces an improved widget selection method for the lock screen. There is what looks like a widget tray with a list of widgets to choose from. You will also have the ability to turn the watch face on and off. It also confirms that the operating system will be able to choose between different watch faces.
The next slide confirms that Nothing OS 3.0 will allow users to shrink the watch face to create space for notifications. The watch face will be centered, not to the left. Some watch faces are reminiscent of one of Apple's lock screen clock customizations.
The last slide might suggest that the widgets could have nice, interactive animations and look more alive. Nothing calls it Interactive Dot Animations .
If the stable Android 15 update schedule does not change anymore, there is a high possibility that Nothing OS 3.0 could start launching in October or November this year.
