New discovery of life on planet GJ 1132b, 'Super Earth' is 39 light-years away

Gliese 1132 b is an exoplanet orbiting a mother red dwarf named Gliese 1132, located south of the constellation Vela, about 39 light-years from our Earth, surrounded by an atmosphere.

The team of researchers at Keele University (UK) and the Max Planck Institute of Astronomy (Germany) recently published the latest research on the atmosphere surrounding the super-Earth named Gliese 1132b (or GJ 1132b). .

Gliese 1132b is an exoplanet orbiting a "mother" red dwarf named Gliese 1132, located south of the constellation Vela, about 39 light-years from our Earth, surrounded by an atmosphere. Gliese 1132b is 1.4 times the size of the Earth and 1.6 times more massive than our planet.

As of April 2017, Gliese 1132b is the first Earth-like planet discovered to have a surrounding atmosphere.

Previously, scientists have only discovered the atmosphere in planetary planets, this is the first time they have discovered the atmosphere surrounding the outer planet, marking an extremely important step in the Search for alien life.

Researchers have discovered more hidden conditions of life outside this rocky planet using GROND imaging equipment of the 2.2 m MPG / ESO telescope in Chile.

The surface of Gliese 1132b is composed of 70% covered with silicate and 30% is iron, almost like the Earth but Gliese 1132b has a higher temperature than Earth and there is also an "abundant water world" with an atmosphere full of heat. This opens us up to hope for an environment capable of sustaining life in the future.

The team said they will resort to "astronomical super machines" such as the ESO's huge telescope, James Webb telescope and James Webb glasses to focus on the study of the super-Earth Gliese 1132b in the near future. .

Exoplanets are more massive than Earth, have a rocky surface and thin atmosphere called super-Earths by scientists.
