Not long after renaming SkyDrive to OneDrive, Microsoft today officially changed its name to another product. This time is Office Web Apps - A shortened version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote software running on a web browser.

Accordingly, Office Web Apps will be renamed to Office Online, with the aim of making it easier for users to identify this product. Because according to Microsoft, leaving the word "Apps" in the name as before made users quite confused. It makes them think that this is an application installed on the computer, not a version of Office running on the web.

Unlike OneDrive, which has added a lot of new features when renaming, Office Online has almost no significant additions. Also, from now on, Microsoft will use the Office.com address as a dedicated portal for its web-based version of Office. To use, users need to log in with a Microsoft account. At the same time during use, data will be automatically saved on OneDrive. In addition, this online version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote tools has also been added with a navigation bar, allowing users to easily switch between tools, as well as switch to other products. Microsoft is Outlook and OneDrive.
