Hacker was jailed for 2 years for DDoS attacks against Skype and Google

A 21-year-old was jailed for two years after being accused of conducting DDoS attacks on high-tech companies such as Skype and Google.

The West Midlands Police of the United Kingdom said young man named Alex Bessell, from Liverpool was discovered behind a series of attacks against well-known brands, including Skype, Google, and names. Pokemon web domain of Nintendo.

In a statement, law enforcement agency said Bessell ran a botnet with more than 9,000 computers, controlled under his command to perform DDoS attacks (Distributed Denial-of- Service).

West Mid said that this "zombie army" was used to conduct 102 attacks on companies. In addition, the botnet has been used to steal 750 account information - although what and where the account is not disclosed - and compromised personal computers to distribute malware.

The 21-year-old was also charged with running a hidden Dark Web store, named Aiobuy. Bessell has sold a variety of hacker tools and malware, including remote administration tools, botnet systems, encryption, access to computers and other illegal items. More than 9,000 products were sold, and Bessell had at least $ 700,000 from his business. Aiobuy serves about 26,000 customers.

Bessell was charged with 10 counts of unauthorized access to computers, weakening computer activity, creating and providing malware, and even money laundering.

The young man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
