Dead Island 2: How to get the key to the security guard's safe

This can be frustrating for players who are just starting out and want to quickly earn everything the game has to offer.

Sometimes the key required to obtain may be tied to a specific side quest, or the player may have to return after completing the story mission later. However, the Halperin safe is completely unlockable once found.

It can be a challenge for beginner Dead Island 2 players, but it's totally doable. The instructions below will help the player locate the Halperin Safe and find the Security Key that is required to open the safe.

The Halperin safe is located in the Halperin Hotel area, one of the first areas of the game that the player will visit. The safe will be located on the counter in one of the outside security rooms in front of the hotel.

There are many stalls during this period, but the exact one is in the middle of a fork in the road during the initial journey to the hotel. The right side of the road leads to another parking area, while the left side leads down to a garage.

 

How to get the security key of the security guard

Thankfully, the Key Guard Safe is not far from the Halperin Safeguard. From the location of the safe in the guard room, the player simply needs to follow the path down into the garage. There will be many enemies in the garage, including the big Crushers, but the enemy holding the key is the security guard.

The Player can obtain the Security Guard's Safe Key by defeating the security guard's zombie in the garage at the Halperin Hotel. Although the security guard is a regular zombie and doesn't require any special tactics to defeat it, multiple zombies there at once can cause you trouble.

Some Dead Island 2 players may have to wait and quickly travel back to the area afterwards to get the key, but it's much easier to play co-op with friends. The reward from the Halperin Safe is a random weapon, although there may be some better stats than what players would normally find around the environment.
